About

The Place of BlessedName

A place where we name children together — not by divination or fortune, but within the blessings of parents and the Word of God, remembering each child's calling.

Project Identity

BlessedName is a multicultural Christian naming space for families worldwide. We trace how one biblical name transforms and lives across cultures, creating a meeting point between each culture's naming traditions and biblical meaning.

This project was born not from market opportunity but from calling. Founder Elder Han Gwang-hui held fast to the spiritual meaning of his own name, refusing to be shaken by fortune-tellers who said his name brought bad luck. BlessedName began from that experience.

Methodology

All BlessedName content passes through a 4-layer verification pipeline.

Layer 1 · Theological

Theological consistency grounded in Scripture and the naming theology charter

Layer 2 · Linguistic

Hebrew and Greek etymology verified through BDB, HALOT, and academic lexicons

Layer 3 · Cultural

Cultural consistency respecting each culture's naming traditions and historical context

Layer 4 · Platform Logic

Complete exclusion of divinatory elements per operational principles

Current Phase

Phase 1

BlessedName is currently in Phase 1. We offer naming journeys, blessing themes, a hanja dictionary, and biblical name exploration — primarily in Korean and English. We plan to embrace more cultures and languages over time, but each phase is entered through separate prayer and review.

Advisory Council

BlessedName is recruiting advisory council members in theology, linguistics, and cultural studies. This is a place of partnership to verify the consistency of our naming theology charter and the accuracy of cultural data. If you are interested in advising, please reach out below.

Partnership

BlessedName does not charge for naming — neither before nor after. Naming a child is not a place of transaction, but a parent's spiritual commitment.

Instead — if you agree with the mission of Christian naming flowing from one family to the next, not divination — whether you have used our naming service or not — please volunteer to join us. Your partnership sustains the place where the next family names their child, where scholars verify the theological depth of a name, and where we help neighbors in need together.

"Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

2 Corinthians 9:7

BlessedName is now beginning by welcoming users starting with those we know personally, and we are steadily preparing to establish a nonprofit organization for partnership (donations). We will announce it here when it is ready.
