'시온 산이 요동하지 아니하고 영원히 있음 같도다'(시 125:1). 시내 산에서 율법을 주시고(출 19장), 갈멜 산에서 참 하나님을 드러내시고(왕상 18장), 변화 산에서 영광을 나타내셨다(마 17장). 산은 성경에서 하나님과의 만남의 장소이다.

Etymology
